Titanium shavings are a byproduct of titanium milling and grinding. Shavings are produced during machining or cutting of titanium and are then collected for recycling.
Angra Ukraine specializes in the production of high-tech titanium shavings with the smallest possible average grain size, which is used in the process of preparing a pressed and bonded product to carry out the sputtering process, and is also used in chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and physical vapor deposition phase (PVD). This includes thermal and electron beam (E-Beam) weathering, low-temperature organic weathering, atomic layer deposition (ALD), metalorganic and chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD).
Titanium shavings are thin strips of tape. Shavings are also useful in any application where a large surface area is required, such as water treatment, as well as fuel cell and solar panel applications. Nanoparticles also create very large surface areas. Our standard chip particle sizes average in the range of – 325 mesh, – 100 mesh, 10-50 micron and sub-micron (< 1 micron). We can also provide many materials in the nanoscale range. Angra Ukraine manufactures many standard grades where possible, including Mil Spec (military grade); ACS, reagent and technical grade; Food, agricultural and pharmaceutical class; Optical grade, USP and EP/BP (European Pharmacopoeia/British Pharmacopoeia) and meets relevant ASTM testing standards. Nanocrystalline structures have been found in the titanium shavings, which have signs of high strength and wear resistance.
